Now what do i shoot

So here it is mid october,  the time when i choose to relax from shooting weddings and focus on my growth for the next year. However as a photographer  i love to shoot the question is though what to shoot. Well i would shoot the lovely color of the fall with the leaves changing that could be interesting however I am not that big on Landscape photography. I am primarily a portraiture photographer, i just love to shoot people. Then like an epiphany it came to me what better fusion - use the landscape as your backdrop. So i am off to shoot some artistic portraiture with those beautiful fall colors- STAY TUNED!!

First Learn, then Earn

So this past week I was able to enjoy the opportunity to attend a seminar hosted by David Ziser. I strongly believe the only way to get better at your craft is by learning from those who have years of experience in that field. My love is wedding photography, so I look y towards those in that industry. David has proved to be one of those persons. I first was introduced to David, by means of the great tutoring and instructional videos on kelbytraining.com. David's style appeals to me because of his use of external lighting. Many of my fellow wedding photogs just choose to use natural light. Natural light is truly beautiful, but sometimes it just isn't there, but if you use flashes or strobes wisely and truly learn about exposure and how to control the light,WOW - the pictures you can create. Don't simply  rely on the fact that you can crank up your ISO and get the shot, use some lights and in turn you can make the shot even better.
